Happy Wednesday! Here’s another weekly update on my current works in progress.
QAYG Cathedral Windows Quilt
That’s right, a quilt! At the January meeting with the Music City MQG, we all brought our UFO (UnFinished Object) quilts and pledged to finish them before the November meeting. Going through my bin of WIPs was just the motivation I needed to get sewing again! I decided to concentrate on finishing the QAYG (Quilt As You Go) Cathedral Windows quilt that I started way back in 2017. I’m using Quilting in the Rain’s free tutorial and this quilt contains some of my very favorite Heather Ross prints. I’m about halfway done with the 36 “pancakes”… and because it’s QAYG, when the top is finished and sewn together, the back will be finished as well!
The hardest part was assessing what still needed to be done because I changed my mind a few times in between starting and stopping this one… but now I’m on track and using my nap times or school days to put in a few minutes here and there until it’s done.
In the spirit of finishing, I also got in touch with a local longarmer to have two quilt tops that were waiting to be quilted. Even though I intended to quilt them myself, I know it will be much quicker to send them off than to wait until I’m ready to attempt the quilting… and I will be happier with the end results if they are professionally quilted!

Into the Jungle Cross Stitch
All twelve animals are stitched up, I’m just plugging away at the bottom border and then this project will be all wrapped up!

That’s all for now!
Awesome! I don’t know how you fit it all in!
