Meow Monday: Meet Derby

Introducing Derby D.!

This weekend we met Sam’s grandparents halfway between TN and MS to pick up a new friend to join the family. Amelia was very excited to meet Derby, and kept peering into his carrier and jabbering excitedly.

So far Derby has been shy and sleepy during the day, but his nocturnal nature comes out at night and he gets brave enough to explore the house.

He and Tali have had a couple interactions and no hissing was exchanged, so I really hope they will become good friends. Amelia has been very interested in the new addition but since he spends most of the day under the bed, her enthusiasm has kept him at arms length. But he seems very laid back and not aggressive at all, which is a good sign!
