The bustle of the holiday season is over, but I’m still hustling behind the scenes at Lady Katie Stitchery! In 2018, I want to be more consistent about sharing updates on the blog and social media, challenge myself to create new products, and of course my word of the year applies here too: grow!
I feel like I don’t have much to show right now, and my shop is looking a little empty, but there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. I’ve got so much to learn but instead of getting overwhelmed by it all, I’m repeating to myself: Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!
Here are a few sneak peeks of upcoming projects!
New logo!
My good friend Emily is a graphic designer, and she is designing a logo for LKS!
I am so in love with the cameo design she created! Yesterday she came over for a grownup play date to mess around with packaging ideas. We’re still tweaking the final design but I can’t wait to share it when it’s all finalized. It makes me feel so legit!
Cross stitch patterns!
I just bought a software program that will allow me to design my own cross stitch patterns! I’m overflowing with ideas, and I’m excited to get them out of my head and into a tangible pattern. I’ve been playing around with the program and my goal is to have my first pattern released by my 31st birthday in May.
More needle minders!
I’m working on a big batch of needle minders using new fabrics from some of my favorite fabric lines: lots of Anna Maria Horner, Sarah Jane Studios, Heather Ross, and more!
New products!
I’ve been brainstorming new products to add to my online shop (and hopefully brick-and-mortar stores too). I’m testing out a few new things and hopefully it will come together soon!
…
I love digging into a new project, but I struggle with the conceptualizing part of getting started. And once I actually got my Etsy shop up and running and my needle minders in a physical store, I realized that the first step is the easy part; the real work is keeping it up! I’m sticking to my new mantra: Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!
Stay tuned for more updates!
Very cool! The needle minders were a big hit at Christmas. Can’t wait to see the new products!
