Deck the Halls

I sat down to write about weekend adventures – the holiday guild party and Dickens of a Christmas and WIPs – but then I got distracted by this advent calendar. I hear of it every year but never shell out the $4… but this year, I decided it was worth it, and it is! It’s just enjoyable to spend a few minutes a day clicking around in this imaginary wintery world, for no other reason than to have fun.

So with that in mind, I think I’ll just share some photos of Amelia running around the house instead of what I planned. (I just realized that today marks her fourteenth month so that’s reason enough!)

By “running,” I mean walking very carefully and slowly behind her walker, stopping every couple steps to examine something new. It’s not the most efficient way to get around, but I followed her with my phone to take pics the other day (& plenty of other days too) and managed to catch some of our holiday decor at the same time. I decided not to deal with a tree this year (mainly so I wouldn’t have to police Amelia all day long), so I only brought out about a quarter of the usual decorations, and that’s been pretty nice too! This is in no way comprehensive or staged or planned, but it is what it is.
