Another weekly update on my current Works in Progress 🙂
Sandy Orton Summer Sampler
Once all the background gold was done, I finally got to add some other colors! Even though this pattern was intimidating to start, it’s so satisfying to see it come together bit by bit, especially when different shades of the same color add subtle depth to the design. When the new pie for the Sweet as Pie SAL was released, I came to a stopping point but I’m already looking forward to getting back to it.

Sweet as Pie Cross Stitch
The new pie for July was released this week: blueberry pie! This pie looks so yummy and perfect for summer, I might have to make it this month. After working on the Sandy Orton sampler, this one seems like a breeze in comparison.

Round Robin Quilt
I’m working on Libby’s quilt for the next round due in August. I love the bright happy colors, and I think I finally know which direction I want to go in. I think my round needs to add some more white space after Marcia’s colorful flying geese, so I want to play off of the solid navy/aqua/green from Jayne’s row. I had a lack of solids in my stash, so I bought some aqua and green during the Shop Hop last weekend, and now I’m ready to go!
