Happy Friday!
I didn’t intend to drop the ball on H54F the last two weeks, but it slipped through the cracks. Today I’m covering five highlights from the last three weeks, as my way of focusing on the little things that make me happy.
1 – 6 months! I still can’t believe we’ve survived half a year! One thing I love about my mama is that she can turn any event into a celebration, and for Amelia’s half birthday she had candles, apple cake (for me), and supplies for baby’s first masterpiece!
2 – Hometown. It’s always great to visit my parents in AL, especially since it’s also home base for so many people I love, like my brother and maid of honor.
3 – Easter Garden. My parents are tending two plots at their community garden, which only made my itch to plant something even worse! After a long drive on Saturday, they were still up for a trip to buy plants… and get them in the ground the next morning, before driving another 5 hours. They’re the best!
4 – Yard Sale Season. On our daily walk a couple weeks ago, we saw not one but two yard sales in the neighborhood, and quickly scooped up this adorable table and chairs for $7! I have grand plants to paint it, but for now it’s a makeshift side table in the living room and it’s actually a great fit!
5 – Cousins. It’s been years since I’ve seen my cousin and her family, but we finally got together on Easter. Time flies!
