I love sharing finishes, and today is one of my favorites! I’ve had the Drinks All Around pattern for a few years (retired from Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery), and had it all kitted up and ready to go for over a year before I finally tackled it. It wasn’t particularly large or difficult, so I don’t know why it took me so long to get started, but it was perfect for naptime. Plus, it got me through the dreary months of February and March with the promise of summery drinks! In fact, this trio features my three favorite drinks: lemonade, (un)sweet tea, and a mojito.

Voila!
Once I find the perfect frame, I’m planning on trying my hand at lacing with Wild Olive’s tutorial. One of these days I need to go on a finishing spree…
I’m up to six (!!) completed pieces that need to be finished in some way. It would be crazy pants expensive to have them all framed professionally, so I’ll probably try to do some finishes on my own and space out the others. Cross stitching is mostly about the process for me; it’s super meditative and I love seeing it come together bit by bit. And maybe because they’re more decorative than “useful,” somehow having a bunch of these piling up doesn’t stress me out like my quilt WIPs do.
If you want a closer look at any of the above patterns, here they are!
