The Pumpkin Passport Cross Stitch: Finished!

I just finished the last portion of the Pumpkin Passport, the year-long SAL that I worked on throughout 2016. I didn’t quite finish up by the end of the year, but close enough! This was my third year joining the Frosted Pumpkins (check out Once Upon a Time from 2014 and Woodland Creatures from 2015), and it was such a fun experience to watch the pattern revealed one month at a time. I’m not planning on participating in the 2017 SAL but I’m looking forward to watching everyone’s progress on social media (check out the #frostedpumpkinstitchery hashtag).

During the Passport SAL, we stopped at 12 different countries throughout 2016:

January: England

February: France

March: The Netherlands

April: Switzerland

May: Greece

June: Russia

July: Egypt

August: India

September: Japan (my favorite!)

October: Australia

November: Peru

December: Canada

The last stop was Canada, with an ice skater, mountains, and of course maple leaves.  (My guess of the U.S. was NOT right!) It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out that the object in the top left corner is a Canadian goose, oops! I took this project with me to the Music City MQG meeting and got a good chunk started, then a couple more naptimes was all it took. It’s always a little bittersweet to finish up a year-long project… just another reminder that time flies!

My favorite part of ending the year is creating a Flipagram

Thanks again for such a fun year, Pumpkins! This one is going in the “completed, not finished” pile and I’ll probably frame it to go with the other two.
