High Five for Friday!

I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact!  Focusing on five little things that made me happy is my way of recapping the week and a reminder to stay grateful.

1 – Lamaze Class. One class down, six to go! I’m not dead set on one delivery method or another, and of course the only thing I really care about is a healthy baby at the end of it all, but I’m looking forward to learning more about my options.

2 – New SAL. The pumpkins just announced TWO new mystery SAL patterns and I ordered the Trick or Treat Costume Club pattern with the limited edition needle minder too. So super cute! (I passed on the National Parks pattern just because it’s a four-parter and I don’t want to have too many WIPs after baby arrives.)

3 – Pedicure. When we lived in San Fran, there was the best nail salon right up the block and I got pedicures on the regular. I haven’t bothered to find a new favorite here yet, but it’s getting harder to do them myself at  home, so I finally got one this week. I forgot how much I love them!

4 – Pokedates. I don’t know why this game is so addicting, but after a long work week we find ourselves picking restaurants for their proximity to lots of pokemon. I guess it’s just a good excuse to go for an extra walk around the block… but mostly it’s just fun!

5 – Neighborhood Facebook Group. We’ve been trying to unload some old computer equipment for several weeks, but Craigslist just isn’t very active in our part of town, so I finally posted pics on our neighborhood’s FB group and got rid of everything by the end of the day! Aside from the usual announcements (and complaints), this is the second time the group has helped us out (the first was Tali’s big adventure!) and I never thought a social media group could be so helpful.
