A wee finish today!
With a few bigger quilting projects in the works lately, I’ve been craving some instant gratification on the side – so this little cross stitch was perfect. Making quick progress on a small project is so satisfying!
I bought the Spring Ring pattern on a whim when Alicia Paulson first released it a few months ago; I have a bad habit of buying digital patterns (the kit looks lovely too… but I feel less guilty about collecting digital-only), but I just couldn’t resist that little lamb and ring of springtime posies. I love Alicia Paulson’s Posie Gets Cozy blog and all her crafty endeavors – her dusty, delicate color palette is so different from my usual aesthetic but I love the nostalgic aura surrounding all her projects.
When I found out I was having a baby girl, I immediately thought of that little lamb and the perfect blank space above to display a sweet baby name, and I even had the perfect 4″ hoop framing a piece of blue scrap fabric waiting for the perfect mini project (serendipity, I tell you). Now if only we could settle on a name! I’m content leaving it blank for now, and I’ll come back to it when we have both a name and a birthdate for the blank space, probably stitched in the same mauve thread I used at the bottom. For now I’m calling it done!

All finished!

It’s not a quilt… but I’m linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish Friday!
So cute! I love Alicia’s blog and work too!
