WIP Wednesday

Another weekly update on my current Works in Progress 🙂

Pixelated Heart Quilt-Along

I’ve been searching for my sewjo recently, but I haven’t felt very inspired. There are so many beautiful quilts out there, and I see so much progress and innovation every day on Instagram and at the Music City MQG meetings, but I haven’t felt like anything has made me excited enough to actually start a new quilt. But with our recent weather I wanted to take advantage of being snowed in, so I jumped on the Pixelated Heart QAL hashtag on Instagram, hosted by @SewKellySews. Just what I needed!

The Amateur Librarian // Pixelated Heart Quilt

I marathoned season 2 of the Serial podcast while picking fabrics from my scraps (pinks and reds for the heart, low volume prints for the background), cutting 5″ squares, deciding the layout, and sewing together 3 blocks (6 to go!) over the weekend. I’m hoping to finish it up by Valentine’s Day, fingers crossed!

Passport Cross Stitch

Making progress on the new Pumpkin Passport cross stitch, although it’s going a bit slower than I’d like. I’m still working on the central phrase and haven’t gotten to the London bit yet.
