Another High Five for Friday!
I’m sharing the highlights of my week… five to be exact! Focusing on five little things that made me happy is my way of recapping the week and a reminder to stay grateful.
1 – Thanksgiving. I’m so ready a break, and so excited to visit my family next week! Mama sent this little “happy” in the mail and the adorable salt & pepper shakers are indeed making me happy this week.
2 – Holiday Spirit. And you know what comes next… Christmastime! This year, I’m actually looking forward to the holiday season without all the trimmings. I’m crossing all my fingers and toes that we’ll close on the new house in December, but we probably won’t have time (or energy) to actually decorate, and that’s OK.
3 – Packing. So maybe this isn’t exactly a FUN highlight of the week, but it’s definitely been occupying my mind. I’m starting to gather boxes and supplies and that means we’re one step closer to moving. The actual process of moving is hellacious, but the end result will be worth it.
4 – Harpeth River. We visit the house on a weekly basis to check out the progress, but this past weekend hubby was at a work conference so I went by myself. I didn’t have anywhere else to be or anything else to do, so I went on a long walk around the neighborhood and ended up down by the bend of the Harpeth River that runs under the bridge.
5 – Crafters for Courage. I can never resist a crafty sale for a good purpose, and I was happy to give a donation to win the auctions for two super cute items – a fabric tote of holiday fabric and a Heather Ross needle minder.
…
Just love your High 5!
